The Perry High School Junior Class Prom Committee works hard every year to raise funds for the annual dinner and dance for juniors and seniors, but this year’s gala will be extra lavish thanks to a $50,000 gift from a corporate donor.
PHS was one of four schools “chosen for their dedication to community and service” to receive the funds, a public relations statement issued Friday said.
A promotional TV segment, featuring PHS Guidance Counselor Tami Valine and several PHS students, said, “After a tragic school shooting just this past January, students and faculty have been working hard to rebuild hope in their community.”
