Recent upgrades and improvements at Perkins Park in Perry received praise Monday night at the Perry City Council meeting.
“I would say that Perkins Park is looking really good,” Council member Barb Wolling said to Perry Parks and Recreation Director John Anderson. “It’s looking awesome. It’s greening up and looking really nice.”
The entrance to the 3.2 acre park, which lies within Wolling’s third district, is at W. Fifth Street and Dewey Avenue and features a dedicatory stone with plaque to Henry Cecil Perkins, longtime Perry City Council member and former Perry mayor. Soccer fields with parking are accessed at North and McLuen streets.
