The Ogden and Perry cross country squads hit the gravel Friday as part of the football game that evening between the two schools.
The 15-plus miles between the two schools were covered by a relay of runners, all serving as bearers of the game ball for the gridiron tussle.
Members of the team were on hand to present the ball to game officials before the start of Friday’s game.
Perry and Ogden will both return to competition Thursday when they visit Grant Woods Park in Madrid for the annual Tiger Invite.
