A Dallas Center man was arrested Friday night after allegedly assaulting his brother in the home.
Dennis Eugene Maddison Jr., 28, of 1405 Fairview Dr., Dallas Center, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Fairview Drive, where a Dallas County Deputy Sheriff responded to a request for a welfare check.
The deputy ade contact with the victim, who told the deputy that Maddison allegedly “punched” the victim “in the side several times” and “tackled” the victim “onto the bed,” according to court records.
The deputy observed on the victim “a cut to the front of his right, lower leg,” according to court records.
Maddison is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 2 in Dallas County District Court.
