- Benjamin Tyler Breen of 729 Linnwill Place, West Des Moines, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 169 and attempting to make a left hand turn onto Fairgrounds Road as a vehicle driven by David Allan Moore of 613 Polk St., DeSoto, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 169 and was approaching the intersection. Breen failed to yield upon the left hand turn and Moore’s vehicle struck Breen’s vehicle. Minor injuries were reported, but both drivers refused medical attention. Estimated damage to both vehicles is $1,000.00. Breen was issued a citation for failure to yield.
August 14, 2017
- Rylan Patrick Vos of 20957 Northcrest Ave., Minburn, reported the theft of a 2011 Aluma 10-foot trailer from his property. Estimated value was $3,500.
- Nicholas Allan Sanders, 25, of 1026 Clark St., Dexter, was arrested on a warrant for first offense domestic abuse assault.
- Ryan Joseph Peterson, 37, of 3614 Falcon Ave., Ames, was arrested for failure to appear on the original charge of second-offense OWI.
