Aug. 2, 2021
- Michael Peckis of Perry was traveling northbound on Jewell Place near Hilltop Court when he swerved to avoid a deer, and his vehicle entered the ditch and rolled. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $24,000 to the vehicle and $2,000 to trees on the property. Peckis was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
Aug. 3, 2021
- Dwayne Portwood, 33, of 1116 E. 12th St., Des Moines, was arrested for two counts of violation of a no-contract order.
- Abdullah Hashim, 25, of 8824 Gables Way, Johnston, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
- Jeremiah Ewald, 23, of 137 N.W. Greenway Place, Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for fifth-degree theft.
