- Brandon Cole of Adel was traveling in the 28000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when his vehicle hit the shoulder, and he lost control and entered the ditch. The vehicle then collided and spun around on the guard rails in the median. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $7,000 and $5,000 to the bridge.
December 15, 2019
- Amanda Christiansen of Waukee was traveling in the 28000 block of 141st Street when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000.
December 16, 2019
- Steven Scott of Rippey was traveling in the 18000 block of 170th Street, collecting garbage in a garbage truck, when the front tire of the garbage truck went into the ditch. As Scott was trying to turn to get out, the truck tipped over onto its side. The Dallas County EMS checked out Scott for minor injuries. Damage to the truck was estimated at $20,000.
- Justin Roy Gerlach, 38, of 5225 Merced St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of third-degree burglary.
