- Larry Hawxby of Des Moines, was traveling in a line of traffic in the 25000 block of 360th Street when his vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle, driven by Joshua Parks of Lincoln, Nebraska. Parks’ vehicle in turn collided with a vehicle, driven by James Royce of Des Moines. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hawxby’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Damage to Parks’ vehicle was estimated t $8,000, and damage to Royce’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

- Shawn Knakmuhs, 46, of 8011 Warren Dr., Des Moines, was arrested for eluding and issued citations for three counts of speeding, one count of reckless driving and one count of failure to respond to steady red light.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
