- Ben E. Jameson, 51, of 1707 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines, was arrested at W Avenue and 240th Street in Dallas Center for driving while barred, possession of marijuana and going armed with a knife.
June 6, 2017
- The City of Dallas Center reported damage to the wood railing at the Mound Park gazebo.
- Gretchen Chapman of Adel was traveling in the 36000 block of R Avenue when her vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Tyler Erdman of Van Meter. No injuries were reported. Damage to Chapman’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000, and damage to Erdman’s vehicle was estimated at $400. Erdman was issued a citation for following too closely.
- Kristi Meyer of Panora was traveling east on Iowa Highway 44 when a vehicle driven by Yazmin Mendoza of Perry pulled out in front of Meyer’s vehicle and struck her right rear tire area. No injuries were reported. Damage to Meyer’s vehicle was estimated at $8,000, and damage to Mendoza’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Mendoza was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license and failure to yield upon turning left.
