May 22, 2021
- Samuel Torres of Des Moines was traveling northbound in the 32000 block of S Avenue on an ATV when he lost control, and the vehicle entered the west ditch. Torres and his passenger were transported to Mercy One Medical Center for injuries. Torres was issued a citation for operating an ATV on a highway.
May 24, 2021
- Eduardo G. Valencia Pool, 40, of 1426 10th St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of violation of probation.
- Nicholas Mikesell, 21, of 311 S.E. Third St., Panora, was arrested for driving while barred and issued a citation for failure to provide proof of financial liability.
- Kandice Roethler of Ankeny was traveling westbound in the 27000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,000.
