October 26, 2017

  • Scot Alan Hoffman, 47, of 29952 Olympic Ave., Dedham, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of OWI.

October 29, 2017

  • Katelyn Berndt of Ogden was traveling east near the 108 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
  • Fermin Oro-Feria of Emporia, Kan., was traveling in the 28000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $8,000.

October 30, 2017

  • Scott Depristo of 325 Elm St., De Soto, reported the theft of a gift card.
  • Jose Manuel Paredes-Hernandez, 29, of 3816 106th St., Urbandale, was cited and released at the intersection of Prairie Street and Nile Kinnick Drive S. in Adel for driving while suspended and dark windows.
  • Joe Koons of Minburn was traveling east on Iowa Highway 44 when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Corey Langman of Waukee. Langman came to the intersection of W Avenue and Iowa Highway 44 and turned left, thinking he could make the turn without striking Koons’ vehicle. Susan Varley of Granger was stopped at the intersection, and she  stated that after Koons’ vehicle was struck, the back end of the truck struck the front of her vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Koons’ vehicle was estimated at $6,000. Damage to Langman’s vehicle was estimated at $8,000, and damage to Varley’s vehicle was estimated at $7,000. Langman was issued a citation for failure to yield upon left turn and released.
