A Des Moines woman was arrested at a West Des Moines motel late Friday on drug and prostitution charges.

Regina Marie Domiano, 44, of 511 Franklin Ave., Des Moines, was charged with prostitution, third or subsequent offense possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The incident began about 11:15 p.m. Friday in the 7600 block of Office Plaza Drive N., where officers of the West Des Moines Police Department responded to a report of a dispute at a motel.

The officers “made contact with a male” who said a woman in the motel “had offered him sexual acts in return for $100” and then “demanded more money once the male was inside the hotel room,” according to court records.

The woman, Domiano, “gave officers consent to search her property,” and the officers allegedly found “smoking devices, needles, baggies and scales” and “a green leafy substance resembling marijuana,” according to court records.

Domiano is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Jan. 10 in Dallas County District Court.

Domiano was convicted of first-offense possession of a controlled substance in 2003 in Polk County District Court. She was convicted of prostitution in 2003 in Polk County District Court. She was convicted of second-offense possession of a controlled substance in 2007 in Polk County District Court.
