October is National Physical Therapy Month, and 21st Century Rehab, located in the Dallas County Hospital, will celebrate by offering free exams during Free Exam Week Oct. 4-8.
“We want to give back to the communities that have allowed us to become better therapists and thrive as a company,” said Elli Cassabaum, marketing and public relations director for 21st Century Rehab. “21st Century Rehab would like to invite each of our communities, past patients, friends, families and followers to our Free Exam Week!”
During Free Exam Week, many of the physical therapists and some of the occupational therapists will open up their schedules to the community. Cassabaum said the exams are intended for anyone experiencing musculoskeletal issues, such as sciatica, back pain, neck pain, knee pain, shoulder pain, hip pain, TMJ issues, lymphedema, hand and wrist pain and others.
“All are welcomed and encouraged to call their local 21st Century Rehab clinic and schedule a free, 30-minute exam,” she said. “We want to help you get back to your highest level of function, and this free week of exams is the perfect opportunity to do so.”
Visitors will sit down with a doctor of physical therapy or an occupational therapist, who will talk through the issues the visitor is experiencing, provide possible causes of these issues and give recommendations for the next steps.
