The Perry Volunteer Fire Department responded to a garage fire about 10:30 p.m. Sunday on Perry’s west side and quickly controlled the smoldering fire in the structure.
The cause of the blaze, which appeared to be confined to the upper portion of the three-car garage, is under investigation.
The 864-square-foot garage at 325 St. Paul St. was built in 1977, according to county records. It is owned by Leroy K. Hameister of Perry.
