DES MOINES — Responding to the state’s frigid temperatures, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a proclamation Friday temporarily suspending certain regulatory provisions pertaining to hours of service for the delivery of propane.
Extreme winter weather conditions and high demand for petroleum products throughout the Midwest have resulted in low supplies of propane. The governor’s proclamation temporarily suspends provisions of Iowa Code ยง 321.449 pertaining to hours of service for crews and drivers delivering propane.
The proclamation takes effect immediately and expires at midnight Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018.
