January 24, 2018

  • A deputy assisted with a medical call in the 2100 block of 260th Street.
  • A deputy investigated a call about someone walking along Neola Avenue and 270th Street.
  • A deputy investigated an accident on 220th Street near Q Avenue. Cole Palmer, 28, of Norfolk, Neb., was driving his 2009 GMC Sierra pick up with a flatbed trailer attached. Zachary Modlin, 29, of Dawson was traveling west on 220th in a 2002 Kenworth tractor and attached trailer. Palmer misjudged his left turn, and the flatbed trailer was struck by the tractor. Damage to Palmer’s trailer was estimated at $500. Damage to Modlin’s tractor was estimated at $10,000 to the front end of the tractor and the driver’s side front tire. Paul and Wayne’s Towing from Carroll assisted with moving the tractor. Palmer was issued a citation for failure to yield upon left turn.
  • Bradley Allen Conklin, 35, was booked into the jail for third-offense possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while barred. He was released on his own recognizance.

January 25, 2018

  • A deputy responded to a dog call in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated a careless-driving complaint in Scranton.
  • Hiram Silvano Black Jr., 29, was booked into the jail for first-offense possession of controlled substance-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
  • Cory Michael Grow, 40, of rural Jefferson was booked into the jail on a warrant for two counts of child endangerment. He was released on his own recognizance.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
