May 30, 2017

  • A deputy investigated a business alarm in the 200 block of Main Street in Paton.
  • A deputy assisted an ambulance in the 1900 block of 160th Street.
  • A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on S Avenue near 170th Street.
  • A deputy investigated a truck on 235th Street spilling rock onto the roadway.
  • A deputy investigated a careless driving complaint in the 300 block of N. Seventh Street in Grand Junction.
  • A deputy investigated damage to the roadway on J Avenue near the railroad tracks.
  • A deputy investigated a dog complaint in the 1000 block of E. Hager Street in Grand Junction.
  • Donald Wallace, 79, of Churdan was booked into the jail to serve a sentence for third-offense OWI.
  • A deputy investigated a piece of angle iron sticking up from the tracks on Main Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy assisted with a property exchange in the 200 block of Cartwright Street in Rippey.
  • A deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 1400 block of J Avenue in Grand Junction.

May 31, 2017

  • Jolisha Dudley, 25, of Fort Dodge was booked into the jail for driving while barred.
  • A deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident in Scranton at the intersection of Chicago and Eagle streets. Jeffrey Hartl, 50, of Coon Rapids was driving southbound on Eagle Street in his 2001 Chevrolet Blazer when he was struck by Frank Adamson, 48, of Scranton, who was traveling eastbound on Eagle Street in a 2009 Dodge Journey. Hartl’s vehicle rolled onto its top and was totaled. Adamson’s vehicle sustained damage estimated at $3,000. Hartl was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way. All persons involved were wearing their seat belts, and nobody was injured.
  • A deputy assisted a motorist with changing tires on Iowa Highway 144 near Rippey.
  • A deputy investigated a suspicious person sleeping in the Churdan City Park.
  • A deputy investigated a careless driver on Main Street in Dana.
  • A deputy investigated a hit-and-run accident in the 1500 block of U Avenue. Ladonna Lebeck, 53, of Grand Junction was getting her mail when another vehicle struck her mirror and did not stop. The damage to her 2002 Buick Lesabre was estimated at $500.
  • A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 1800 block of 283rd Street.
  • A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of Stanton Street in Scranton.
  • A deputy investigated a theft in the 100 block of W. Hager Street in Grand Junction.
