The Before I Die wall is a community service of HCI Hospice Care Services, with offices in the Dallas County Hospital.

HCI Hospice Care Services in Perry seeks compassionate individuals who would like to make a meaningful, lasting impact on the lives of others by becoming volunteers.

Hospice volunteers play an important role in hospice care by providing patients and families with companionship and support. They may also help with transportation and errands, perform special services for Veterans, play music, record patients as they share their stories or read aloud books for the children in their lives.

No previous experience is necessary.

HCI Hospice Care Services will host a volunteer training Monday, Feb. 26 and Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Dallas County Hospital, 610 10th St. in Perry.

Register for the training by contacting Hannah Sedlacek, HCI volunteer coordinator, at 515-465-4705 or at HSedlacek@hcicareservices.org.
