Host Bombers streak past Jayettes

SLATER — A six-run second inning helped fuel an 11-0 win for Ballard Wednesday against visiting Perry in Raccoon River Conference softball. The game ended after five innings.

Perry managed only two baserunners in the contest, with Kennedy Tunink and Maci Tunink each reaching with singles.

Jayna Kenney yielded 11 runs (eight earned) on 13 hits for the Jayettes.

Brooklyn Baumgardner went all five frames on the rubber for the hosts. He allowed two walks and struck out 10.

Carley Wilson led the Bomber attack with a home run and two base hits. She scored three times and drove in two runs.
