A fire that filled a house with smoke and made a wall hot to the touch was controlled by firefighters late Monday on Perry’s southeast side.
No injuries were reported in the fire at 820 15th St., which was reported by residents about 11:15 p.m.
The Perry Volunteer Fire Department responded, isolated the source of the smoke and ventilated the residence, which had been evacuated.
The 60-year-old three-bedroom home is owned by Shaun Ludewig, according to county records.
The Perry Police Department, Perry First Responders and Dallas County EMS also responded.
