A house fire in north Perry Friday morning was quickly extinguished by the Perry Volunteer Fire Department.

 

A house fire in north Perry Friday morning was quickly extinguished by the Perry Volunteer Fire Department.

No injuries were reported in the fire at 2201 First Ave., which was reported about 8:45 a.m.

The source of the smoke that filled the house was traced to a faulty pump, according to public safety radio traffic.

The 118-year-old home is owned by David and Amanda Meyers, according to county records.
