The National Weather Service office in Johnston has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Perry area until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Scattered damaging winds, gusting to 60 mph and scattered quarter-size hail events are possible, the NWS said.
Along with Perry, affected areas include Madrid, Ogden, Woodward, Bouton, Luther, Berkley, the Perry Municipal Airport and Ledges State Park.
