At least one person was injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle collision on Iowa Highway 141 west of Woodward.
One person was also trapped and required extrication from a vehicle, according to public safety radio traffic.
The injured party was transported to Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS.
The incident, involving a passenger car and an SUV, occurred about 8:15 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 at Quinlan Avenue. The circumstances are under investigation.
The car sustained significant front-end damage and came to rest facing eastward in the eastbound lanes of the state highway.
The SUV sustained significant driver-side damage and came to rest facing westward on the north shoulder of the eastbound lanes.
Eastbound traffic was stopped on Iowa Highway 141 and temporarily redirected southward on Quinlan Avenue until the scene was cleared.
The Perry Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Woodward First Responders, Woodward Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS responded to the incident.
