It has been reported there are about 350 Verizon tower sites are having network issues at this time, according to a statement released Wednesday night by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.

Many Verizon customers are experiencing problems receiving calls and when calling others, including emergency services, according to the statement.

Citizens having trouble contacting emergency services thru 911 in the Dallas County area can contact the Dallas County Sheriff’s office directly at 515-993-4567. Note that Text to 911 service is also an option for contacting emergency services.

Citizens in the West Des Moines, Clive, Urbandale and Waukee areas of Dallas County can call 515-222-3321 for emergency services.

  1. I have a PC’s for People hotspot that is on that network. This past week, it actually has had higher speeds than previously. I can watch 720p streams more often instead of the normal 480p, so it appears whatever they are doing, after they fix the 911 software, we will have higher speeds.
