  • While conducting business door checks, an officer located an open door at 610 N. Elm St.
  • An officer found a dog running freely in the 500 block of W. State Street. The officer followed the animal to a residence in the area. The dog had torn a screen loose on the back door to escape. The officer will be contacting the animal’s owner about the issue.
  • The Greene County High School advised of a dog in a car in the parking lot. The responding officer did not locate the vehicle at the school.
  • Officers located a vehicle parked at the posted stop sign at S. Cedar and E. Russell streets. An officer requested a tow service to remove the vehicle from the area. The owner arrived before the tow service. The owner worked out a payment for the tow service response and the vehicle was not towed.
  • An officer performed a traffic stop in the 200 block of W. Central Avenue, resulting in Dax Lautner of Jefferson being issued a citation for operation without registration.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
