The Perry Police Department has issued a friendly reminder for local motorists who plan to participate in Friday night motoring event from 6-8 p.m. in Perry.
“If you decide to Shag the Drag or Cruise the Loop tonight on Willis, please remember social distancing applies,” the PPD Facebook page said. “If you fail to comply and we see you gathering, the old rules will apply also. Officers will stop, tell you to move on and search your car for beer.”
Perry’s finest also recommends that loop scoopers facilitate traffic flow by turning north on Third Street off Willis Avenue, west of Pattee Street and then south on Second Street back to Willis.
“Keep safe distances for everyone’s health and safety,” they said.
