Perry Police Department Chief Eric Vaughn announced Sunday morning the people found dead in a Perry house Saturday evening were victims of murder, and a suspect in the case is sought.
Vaughn said police seek a blue Honda Pilot, Iowa license plate ATG223, in connection with the double murder.
“If you see this vehicle, do not approach the vehicle,” Vaughn said Sunday. “Notify authorities immediately. The driver should be considered possibly armed and dangerous.”
Perry Police found three victims in the house at 802 Sixth St. about 8 p.m. Saturday. Two were dead and a third was badly injured with cuts to the face, head and hands. The injured victim, a man in his 50s or 60s, was lifeflighted to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
Vaughn said the names of the victims are not being released at this time pending autopsy results and notification of relatives.
The Perry Police Department is being assisted in its investigation by the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
If they have the license plate number, why don’t they just run it and get the address and the name?
I’m sure they did. They just don’t want names or details circulating right now. In fact, they’re still withholding all names, this being proper procedure.
Great job guys in covering this story as soon as you did. You are the ones who brought this story to us “first…fast…and accurately”
Prayers to the family of the victims
