Mike Reeser, left, of Info Dog Security and his grandson, Carter Curtis, center, joined Perry Public Library Director Mary Murphy for last year's free paper-shredding service. The service will be offered again Saturday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. until noon at the library.

Perry residents can unload their sensitive and confidential papers and see them safely shredded into oblivion at a free paper-shredding event at a Perry Public Library set for Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. until noon.

The free service is sponsored by the library and the city of Perry. Shredding will be done by Spencer-based Info Dog Security.

Document shredding is the preferred way to protect personal information and discard documents in a safe, secure way. The service is free and open to the public, but there is a limit of two boxes per person.

For more information, call the Perry Public Library at 515-465-3569.
