Minburn man questioned in death, arrested on warrants

Mark Daniel Mash, 36, of Minburn was arrested Tuesday on a Dallas County warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft and on a warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of first-degree harassment.

A Minburn man was arrested on two Dallas County warrants Tuesday morning and is being questioned in connection with a man’s death.

Mark Daniel Mash, 36, of 621 Walnut St., Minburn, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of second-degree theft and on a warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of first-degree harassment.

According to court records, Mash “is being interviewed in regards to the death of an adult male” and “has admitted to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office that he was in possession of a gun on the 22nd day of December, 2020, which is in violation” of the terms of his probation.

Mash is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond in advance of an appearance in Dallas County District Court.

Mash was arrested on charges of attempted murder and going armed with intent in 2007, but the charges were later dismissed in Dallas County District Court.
