A Kansas City man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a West Des Moines woman and on a Dallas County warrant in connection with a January incident in which he allegedly assault a Waukee man with his vehicle in Clive.

Adrian Lamon Daniel Dunn, 32, of 9457 N.E. 79th St., Kansas City, Missouri, was charged with third or subsequent offense domestic abuse assault, assault-use or display of a weapon, two counts of child endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief.

The West Des Moines incident began about 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 8900 block of Cascade Avenue, where Dunn allegedly “struck the victim and caused her injury,” according to court records.

The arrest warrant followed a Jan. 29 incident of apparent road road on N.W. 156th Street in Clive, where Dunn allegedly “rammed” his 2018 Ford Escape “into the passenger side door/quarter panel” of the victim’s vehicle and then “proceeded to get into a verbal altercation” with the victim, according to court records.

Dunn’s two toddler-aged children were present in the Escape “when he decided to intentionally hit the victim, putting them at substantial risk for their physical safety,” according to court records.

Dunn is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $15,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 5 in Dallas County District Court.

Dunn was twice previously convicted of domestic assault in the state of Kansas, according to court records.
