A motorist from Ames called the Perry Police Department about 6:30 p.m. Saturday and reported her vehicle was in the ditch along the eastbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 near Diagonal Road in Perry.
An officer responded and found the vehicle on the granular-surfaced shoulder except for the right rear wheel, which appeared to have left the shoulder surface and to be resting on grass.
There were no injuries in the incident and no damage to the vehicle.
The officer instructed the motorist to proceed, and the motorist proceeded on her way.
