A Celebration of Life service for Norma Herridge, 86, of Perry will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 21 at the Murdock Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow at the Violet Hill Cemetery.
Norma passed away Dec. 9, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Norma LaRue Johns was born June 16, 1932, the daughter of Albert W. and Grace P. (Wilcox) Johns in Perry, Iowa.
She attended Perry Community Schools and graduated from Perry High School with the class of 1951.
Norma married Richard L. Herridge Sept. 6, 1952, in Perry.
They moved to Minneapolis, Minn., in 1954 and then moved as a family to Springfield, N.J., and then to Chatham Township, N.J., before moving back to Perry.
Survivors include her grandson, Jeffrey Scott (Katy) Herridge of Morris Plains, N.J.; five sisters, Doris Pantier of Perry, Pat Meier of Perry, Verna Martin of Norwalk, Sandy (Larry) Botts of Macomb, Ill., and Linda (Bob) Olson of Alexandria, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Susan Herridge of Hillsborough, N.J.; nieces; nephews; and friends.
Preceding Norma in death were her parents; husband; two sons, Kevin K. Herridge and Richard K. Herridge; her sister, Vernas Shipley; and two brothers, George Johns and Donald Johns.
