Dallas County’s Nu Alpha Gamma Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma recently held their annual silent auction, supporting two $500 education scholarships in memory of Clarice Ross, the longtime Perry educator who died this year at 106.
“This is a wonderful way to honor Clarice, who was for many years our chapter’s senior member,” said Sue Leslie of Perry, spokesperson for the Nu Alpha Gamma Chapter. “Our local women in education should take the time to apply for these scholarships.”
Applicants for the scholarships must be college juniors or seniors in the fall of 2019 and be seriously planning on entering the teaching field. Each applicant must have graduated from a Dallas County high school or be a resident of Dallas County and be majoring in either a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts program.
All qualified students from Dallas County are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is April 1, 2019. For more information or to apply, contact Cathy Clark at 515-681-6184 or at cecat49@msn.com.
