The National Weather Service offices in Des Moines said travelers can expect to encounter dense fog Sunday night and Monday morning, with as little as one-quarter mile visibility and sometimes reduced to near zero visibility.
The dense fog advisory will be in effect until 4 a.m. Monday.
Travelers are advised to use slow down, use headlamps and extra caution and be alert for changing and reduced visibility due to the fog. Drive slowly, and leave plenty of space ahead of you.
