The occupants of a Cadillac SUV fled after crashing the vehicle in Violet Hill Cemetery shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday.

Officers of the Perry Police Department responded to the report of a wrecked vehicle, which was abandoned on Eighth Street just north of Park Street.

The vehicle suffered damage that suggested it rolled, according to law enforcement radio traffic. The rear and side windows were shattered, and the driver’s side appeared to be damaged.

Police located a juvenile female about 9:15 p.m. who claimed she was a passenger in the wrecked vehicle, according to law enforcement radio traffic.

No injuries were reported, and no headstones appeared to be disturbed or damaged..

Police are seeking the presumed driver of the Cadillac at this hour.
