April 24, 2017

  • An officer returned stolen property to someone.
  • An officer received a complaint from someone regarding a child custody issue.

April 25, 2017

  • An officer called the owner of property at 419 E. Sycamore St. and left a message regarding junk on the property and tall weeds from last year.
  • An Ogden officer accompanied an Iowa Department of Natural Resources employee to check on a report of illegal dumping of oil in the 500 block of W. Locust Street. The DNR employee had been notified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. There was no illegal dumping of oil found.
  • An officer received a report of alleged theft of prescription medicine.
  • An officer arrested Michael Davis, 34, of Ogden on an outstanding Story County warrant. Davis was taken to the Boone County Jail.

April 26, 2017

  • An officer spoke with an out-of-state property owner regarding junk and tall weeds on a property.
  • An officer investigated a two-vehicle accident. Vincent Paye, 48, of Dallas Center, driving a 2016 Dodge Ram, was stopped at a stop sign at 220th Street off-ramp and H Avenue when he was struck from behind by a 2013 Ford driven by Nancy Jensen, 43, of Storm Lake. There was approximately $2,000 in damage to the Jensen vehicle and $500 to the Payne vehicle. There were no charges filed.

April 27, 2017

  • An officer assisted someone who fell and needed help getting to her feet.

April 28, 2017

  • An officer handled a property dispute.
  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist in the 200 block of S.W. Third Street.
  • An officer investigated a credit card fraud complaint.
  • An officer arrested Kelly Boucher, 56, of Ogden for alleged OWI in the 1200 block of H Avenue.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of a possible protection order violation.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of a possible intoxicated driver on U.S. Highway 169. The officer located the vehicle, and the driver was fine.

April 29, 2017

  • An officer arrested Douglas Haase, 63, of Ogden in the 200 block of S. First Street for alleged OWI and possession of a controlled substance.

April 30, 2017

  • Denis Savits reported someone tried to pry open his front door.
  • An officer stopped vehicle on westbound 220th Street off ramp into Ogden. The passenger in the vehicle was involved in a fight at the Wal Mart parking lot in Boone. A Boone County Deputy Sheriff returned to Boone with the subject.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
