  • An officer was asked to do a welfare check on a family. The family was fine.

February 14, 2017

  • An officer investigated suspicious activity at the Ogden High School.
  • An officer spoke to the Iowa Department of Human Services regarding a domestic matter.
  • An officer investigated an assault in the 200 block of S.W. Fourth Street. The officer arrested Isaiah Kester, 23, of Ogden for assault.

February 15, 2017

  • An officer was dispatched to Howe Elementary School for an intrusion alarm. It was a false alarm.
  • An officer did a civil standby at 220 W. Elm St.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with a fight at 646 290th St.
  • An officer did a civil standby at 220 W. Elm St.
  • An officer did a welfare check at 822 N. First St.

February 16, 2017

  • An officer assisted someone trying to locate a relative.
  • An officer checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of W. Locust Street.

February 17, 2017

  • An officer left a message for a resident on N.E. Fourth Street in returning a call regarding garbage around the property.
  • A Casey’s General Store employee reported that a driver in a black pickup left without paying for $50 in gas.
  • An officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Howe Elementary School. This was determined to be a bat flying around. The officer removed the bat from the building.

February 18, 2017

  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County EMS.
  • An employee of Casey’s General Store reported that a driver in a gray SUV left without paying for gasoline.

February 19, 2017

  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and Boone County EMS.
  • An officer received a complaint about someone at 220 S.W. Fourth St. selling bait before he received his variance from the city. The officer spoke with the bait seller and advised him to stop selling bait until he receives his variance from the city.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
