February 27, 2017

  • An officer was asked to do a welfare check on an Ogden resident. The person was fine.
  • An officer assisted a motorist locked out of a vehicle.
  • An officer removed a dead cat from the roadway.
  • An officer received a complaint of school kids walking through yards in the 400 block of N.W. Third Street and knocking on doors. The officer spoke with the children and advised them to stop walking through yards and stop knocking on doors and running off.

February 28, 2017

  • An Ogden resident reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to work at her doctor’s office and was requesting a down payment on future surgery the resident was going to have. The resident said she called the doctor’s office on Monday, and they said they did not call her. The resident did not give out any information to caller because she thought this was a scam.
  • City maintenance workers picked up a bicycle at Lincoln Prairie Park and took to the city shed.
  • An officer picked up a tan-colored Lab-type dog in the 100 block of W. Veterans Drive and took the animal to the city kennel.

March 1, 2017

  • An officer requested the Boone Area Humane Society come and get a dog that was caught and placed in city kennel.

March 2, 2017

  • An officer provided traffic control at First and Walnut streets for a funeral coming from Boone and going to Glenwood Cemetery.
  • An officer delivered a message to an Ogden resident for another department.
  • An officer responded to an incomplete 911 call from an Ogden residence. This was not an emergency. The resident was installing a new phone.
  • An officer checked on a stranded vehicle traveling eastbound in the 500 block of 220th Street. The operator was changing a flat tire.

March 3, 2017

  • An officer spoke with someone regarding living requirements for a sex offender.
  • An officer assisted the Boone County EMS.
  • An officer spoke with someone about a vehicle abandoned on his property.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with a traffic stop in 1100 block of 220th Street.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders and the Boone County EMS.

March 4, 2017

  • An officer arrested Christopher Neagle, 33, of Harcourt for second-offense OWI and driving on the wrong side of a two-lane highway.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with a burglary alarm at 1271 G. Ave. Everything was okay at the address.
  • An officer investigated a report of a unattended child at 201 W. Elm St. The child was inside the house when the officer arrived.
  • An officer investigated a suspicious vehicle at Haws Storage.
  • An officer assisted the Ogden First Responders at 201 W. Cherry St.

March 5, 2017

  • An officer assisted a stranded motorist in the 800 block of 200th Street.
  • An officer received a complaint of a loose dog in the 500 block of W. Elm Street.
  • An officer investigated a complaint of a vehicle going the wrong way on U.S. Highway 30. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
