January 30, 2017

  • An officer responded to an intrusion alarm at Howe Elementary School. This was determined to be a false alarm.

January 31, 2017

  • An officer assisted someone locked out of a vehicle.
  • A Casey’s General Store employee reported that someone left without paying for $21 in gas early Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017.

February 1, 2017

  • An officer was called to Ogden High School for a student that had a knife in his back pack. The student was given a suspension and sent home with a parent.
  • Bonna K Church reported someone entered her house in the early morning hours and took money from her grandson’s room in the basement.

February 2, 2017

  • An officer received a complaint from someone about harassing photographs sent to her via Facebook.

February 3, 2017

  • An officer received a cell phone report about someone in a white Hyundai with Stew Hansen plates driving north on H Avenue from 300th Street at a high rate of speed and making bad passes. The officer located vehicle in 1300 block of H Avenue traveling at 84 miles per hour. The officer stopped the vehicle and cited the driver, Marcos Medina, 22, of Des Moines, for alleged speeding 84/55.

February 4, 2017

  • An officer assisted someone locked out of a vehicle.
  • An officer was asked to look for a vehicle driving recklessly on H Avenue northbound from 290th Street. The officer located and stopped the vehicle in the 1400 block of H Avenue. The officer arrested Si Huynh Nghi, 67, of St Paul, Minn., for allegedly driving while license suspended, failure to provide proof of financial responsibility and driving on wrong side of a two-way highway. Nghi was transported to the Boone County Jail.

February 5, 2017

  • An officer responded to an intrusion alarm at the Ogden High School.
  • An officer investigated suspicious activity.
  • An officer recovered prescription medicine left in the parking lot of Casey’s.
  • An officer assisted a Boone County Deputy Sheriff with a domestic dispute at 646 290th St.
