A Heartland Area Education Agency staff member tested positive for COVID-19 Saturday, Oct. 3, and 15 Perry students have entered quarantine as a result.

A Heartland Area Education Agency staff member tested positive for COVID-19 Saturday, Oct. 3, Perry Community School District Superintendent Clark Wicks announced Sunday.

Wicks said 14 students and families at the Perry Elementary School and one student at the Perry High School who had contact with this individual have been notified. All 15 students will be quarantined per public health recommendations, he said.

Wicks said all other students can attend classes as normal Monday.
