One person was killed in a motor vehicle crash on Iowa Highway 141 north of Granger Saturday night, according to public safety radio traffic.
The crash occurred about 6:15 p.m. on Iowa Highway 141 Diagonal near 190th Street. Radio traffic indicated three vehicles were involved. Occupants of two of the vehicles sustained minor injuries. The third vehicle caught fire and claimed the life of its occupant.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office, Dallas County EMS, Granger Police Department and the Granger Volunteer Fire Department are on scene at this hour. A technical investigator with the Iowa State Patrol is en route, according to radio traffic.
All traffic on the eastbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141 is being detoured through Granger and to Iowa Highway 17. One westbound lane of Iowa Highway 141 is open.
