PANORA — The Panorama girls golfers were made believers of the old cliche that “good things come to those who wait” after the Panthers were 212-225 winners against Bondurant-Farrar Monday.

The two teams had to wait out a quickly-moving storm cell that dampened the links at Lake Panorama National, with the hosts able to make the more effective adjustments and claim the head-to-head win.

“The course was beautiful as usual, but the rain did make for some tough play,” Panther head coach Melissa Hochstetler said. “Some struggled with some higher scores than usual, but overall they did well for having to wait out the storm.”

“We are supposed to travel to Ankeny on Thursday to play with Bondurant Farrar at their home meet, but the weather is not looking very favorable for that date,” she added. “Hopefully we get some good weather to get in some more practice — the girls are so close to breaking more records!”

Madi Fear led Panorama with a 49, which earned medalist honors, with B-F’s Brenna Hamborg the runner-up medalist with a 50.

Lauren McClatchey, Anna Duis, and Abby Cobb also scored for the hosts with rounds of 51,53, and 59, respectively. Chloe Webster (60) and Jordan Douglass (61) were also in action for the Panthers.

Briley Hick (53), Madison Dicks (57) and Jenna Smyth (65) joined Hamborg in scoring for the Lady Jays. Also playing for B-F were Elise Thrap (66) and Olivia Wendt (67).
