Panorama girls post lopsided win at AC/GC

GUTHRIE CENTER — Class 2A No. 9 Panorama improved to 14-1 overall and 10-1 in West Central Conference girls play with a 61-34 win at AC/GC Friday. The win completed a season sweep for the Panthers, who downed the Chargers, 53-20, in Panora Dec. 9.

AC/GC (3-12, 2-9) was in trouble from the outset, quickly falling into a 23-8 hole after one quarter of play. By the intermission Panorama’s lead stood at 35-16, with the score standing at 46-23 at the start of the fourth quarter.

Devyn Kemble poured in 25 points for the Panthers, with Faith Powell adding 12 points and Bailey Beckman 10. Morgan Johnk provided five points, Nicole Rolfes four, Kellie Prince three and Hope Wilderman two.

Powell had eight rebounds and Kemble six, with Beckman distributing six assists and making seven steals for the Panthers, who finished 19-of-25 at the foul line.

Madison Berger led AC/GC with 12 points, with Chelsey Larsen adding five points and Morgan Meacham five points and six rebounds.

Panorama visits Van Meter Monday before hosting Madrid Tuesday and Van Meter Friday.
