A group of Perry-Area Democrats cleaned and decorated their new campaign headquarters at 1220 Willis Ave. Monday evening in advance of the grand opening scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 3-6 p.m.
The partisan volunteers said the public is invited to visit the Democrat offices and learn more about the party, the candidates and the issues.
The Perry-Area Democrats will also host a meet-and-greet event for Iowa gubernatorial candidate Fred Hubbell Saturday, Sept. 22 from 5:15-6:15 p.m. at the Perry Golf and Country Club at 352 330th St. in rural Perry.
