The Perry Area Food Pantry will remain open at 3000 Willis Ave. and continue to serve Perry-area clients during the viral pandemic and until further notice, the pantry announced Monday.
The pantry will be closed Tuesday, March 17 for sanitizing and will reopen for its regular Thursday hours March 19 from 1-3:30 p.m. The pantry’s regular Tuesday hours are 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Under the new arrangements, shoppers will not personally shop for their items until the pandemic has passed. They will instead fill out a request sheet, and their orders will be filled by volunteers and delivered to the customers’ vehicles.
