Michael Meyer, 15, of Perry broke his leg playing basketball a few weeks ago and is getting around temporarily on crutches.
“I was making a layup and just came down wrong,” he said.
It is his first broken bone, he said.
Helping Meyer pass the time during his convalescence are friends such as Devon Timmon, 15, of Perry.
