Tragedy visited a Perry family Tuesday when 2-year-old Celeste Sandoval-Ramos passed away at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines after a weekend drowning accident at Big Creek State Park.
Celeste is the daughter of Melvin David Sandoval and Yoselin Fabiola Sandoval of Perry.
“They were celebrating Father’s Day at Big Creek on Saturday with family and lost her in an accident in the water,” said Celeste’s aunt, Karen Perla of Oskaloosa and formerly of Perry. “Her parents and family members are grateful for all the messages of love and support.”
A GoFundMe page has been established to help the parents and family of Celeste during this tragic period.
Funeral services for Celeste will be held Friday, June 22 at 3 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Visitation will be Friday, June 22 from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home, with burial will be at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Celeste es la hija de Melvin David Sandoval y Yoselin Fabiola Sandoval de Perry.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el viernes 22 de junio de 2018 a las 3:00 p.m. en la Funeraria de la Familia Carris y la Atención de Cremación en Perry. La visita será el viernes 22 de junio de 2018 desde las 9 a.m. hasta el momento del servicio en la Funeraria Familiar de Carris y la Atención de Cremación en Perry. El entierro será en el cementerio de Violet Hill en Perry.
