The Perry Lutheran Homes announced the official opening this week of St. Luke’s Private Suites Skilled Care Community at its Willis Avenue location. These newly remodeled private suites are designed to accommodate people in need of skilled nursing care, rehabilitative therapy after a surgery, accident or illness or other long-term care.
“St. Luke’s Private Suites help us better serve the needs within our community as well as those already in our continuum of care,” said Melissa Gannon, COO and administrator of the Perry Lutheran Homes. “Our private suites provide home-like accommodations, such as en suite bathrooms with walk-in shower and open living area in which individuals can recuperate, regain strength with on-site therapy and return to home — or transition to one of our care communities
Each St. Luke’s Private Suite has en suite bathroom with walk-in shower, walk-in closet, open living area and a large picture window. The suites feature a spacious studio layout and come fully furnished with a bed, recliner lift chair, side chair, dresser, nightstand and mounted flat-screen TV.
Other included amenities and features are complimentary cable and Wi-Fi, remodeled common living area and hall, accessible outdoor spaces such as a courtyard and side patio, round-the-clock access to a care team, on-site therapy, daily wellness activities, robust activity program, on-site beauty and barber shop, secure building access, emergency call system, housekeeping and laundry service, delicious meal options, inter-generational engagement and much more.
Both campuses of the Perry Lutheran Homes — the Spring Valley campus and Willis campus — have thus far remained COVID-19 outbreak free. The Perry Lutheran Homes continues to work very closely with local, state and national health officials and has been adhering to strict COVID-19 prevention and control processes and procedures at or above recommended guideline levels since the onset of the pandemic. They also maintain strict processes and procedures regarding new residents coming in to ensure the safety of all.
