Perry man arrested for assault after pulling wife’s hair

Moises Anibal Alonzo, 31, of Perry was arrested Friday night on a charge of first-offense domestic abuse assault.

A Perry man was arrested Friday night at his home after he allegedly grabbed his wife by the hair and pulled her into their home.

Moises Anibal Alonzo, 31, of 1620 Second St., Perry, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault.

The incident began about 10:30 p.m. Friday, when officers of the Perry Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1600 block of Second Street.

The officers made contact with the female victim, who said “she felt pain when” Alonzo “pulled her by her hair and carried her into their home,” according to court records.

The victim’s children and neighbors witnessed the assault, according to court records.

Alonzo is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 15 in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
