The Perry Ministerial Association (PMA) has announced it will host Lenten services in six churches around the Perry community.
Lent begins Wednesday, Feb. 26, and there will be a community Ash Wednesday service at noon at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. There will be no luncheon following this service.
The remainder of the Lenten services will be held on Tuesdays beginning at 12:05 p.m., with lunch to follow. An offering will be received as part of the worship service. This offering helps the work of the PMA’s Good Samaritan Fund, which aids individuals and families in the community in crisis situations.
“Please join us for one or all of the Tuesday Lenten services,” the PMA said. The service schedule follows.
- Tuesday, March 3 – St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
- Tuesday, March 10 – First Presbyterian Church
- Tuesday, March 17 – Mount Olivet Lutheran Church
- Tuesday, March 24 – First Christian Church
- Tuesday, March 31 – First United Methodist Church
- Friday, April 10 – St. Patrick’s Good Friday Service (no luncheon)
